Raffia and leather ask for different things, so this bag asks for both: keep the woven body away from rain and damp (blot dry, then air-dry in shade — never a radiator), and don't crush it under heavier bags, since the weave holds the shape it's left in. The leather strap prefers a dry cloth and an occasional touch of neutral conditioner — keep the conditioner off the raffia. A little colour variation across the fibre is natural, and the straw tone mellows with sun and use.
