The Woven Edit

The Woven Edit

The weave is the constant. Raffia, straw and woven leather — every bag here is built on a weave, and every product page names the exact material. Raffia is labeled raffia. Straw is labeled straw. Leather is labeled leather. A woven texture is allowed to be beautiful without pretending to be another fiber. Our raffia market pieces are hand-woven in Laizhou, on China's Shandong coast, and The Florence Tote is 100% Madagascar long-fibre raffia.

What's here: raffia market totes and baskets, straw buckets, totes and crossbodies sized for a phone-and-card setup, and woven leather totes, shoulder bags and pouches for when the season turns.

If you want real raffia, start with The Florence Tote. If you want the material difference first, read raffia vs straw vs seagrass. Where we source.

Pair it with our silk scarves or cashmere from Inner Mongolia, or browse every bag in The Carry.

Every material, named plainly

Raffia is labeled raffia. Straw is labeled straw. Leather is labeled leather, and a blend is called a blend. Each product page names the material, so a woven texture never pretends to be another fiber.
