There is a grassy smell when it first arrives. It aired out in a few days by the door. Otherwise well made, it holds a lot for church and errands.

The bottom was the part I checked first. It has a soft rounded shape and does not look sloppy when I set the bag down.

Cute bag, but the top edge has a few stray straw bits. Not a deal breaker, but I notice it when I wear sleeveless tops.

The straps came wrapped and needed a minute to smooth out. After that, the real leather felt nice and the straw body looked clean out of the package.

The bag is bigger than I expected in a good way. I can put a paperback, glasses case, wallet and a rolled scarf in it without the sides looking strained. The real leather straps feel smooth on my shoulder.

I wanted to show the raffia close because it has little uneven bits, not a flat printed look. That is what made it feel like a real summer bag to me.

love how it looks but if i load it with groceries the handles press into my shoulder. its fine with normal stuff, a cardigan and water bottle etc. just dont plan on carrying watermelons.
Fair - loaded right up, those slim handles will press in. They are happiest under everyday weight. Watermelons ride separate.

Used it daily since July. Groceries, pool days, one weekend trip as a personal item on the plane. It fit under the seat no problem. The straw softened a little with use which I actually prefer, it slouches nicer now. Zero fraying so far and I have not been gentle with it. My only note is the inside can get crumbs stuck in the texture, I just shake it out. For reference I am usually rough on bags, the last one lasted a season.

the other two frayed at the handles within a month. this one is actually stitched on properly, i checked before buying based on another review. i use it for work with a laptop sleeve and it doesnt sag or tip over when i set it down on the train.
