Care
The maker's first choice is dry cleaning. If you wash it at home, hand wash it gently, keep it out of the washing machine, and lay it flat to dry in the shade, away from direct sun. Iron at a steady temperature if it needs it. A few loose fibers and a little static from rubbing are unavoidable with wool. Store it folded flat in a bag of its own; hanging can stretch it out of shape. Keep it somewhere dark, cool and aired, since light fades the color, and shake the dust off now and then. Against moths, seal it in a clean bag with a repellent, and keep the repellent from touching the wool.
