You'll keep it by the door for the days you're running late.

On Tuesday it goes to the office — laptop in, a paperback along the side, the small inside pouch holding your card and key. By Friday it changes shape with what you put in it: a sweater, a swimsuit, the towel rolled tight. By the time you're driving up the coast, it doesn't look like the bag you carried into the meeting — and that's the point.

Each piece is a little different. The colour shifts between honey and oat depending on which strand the weaver pulled. There's no version of this bag that's “perfect” — only this one, this season, three days made by hand by women whose grandmothers taught them.
