About this item

The merino crew knit from both sides at once — no seam ridge inside, no seam ridge out.

41.3% Australian Merino wool on a double-cylinder loom that knits the inside and outside of the sock simultaneously — eight minutes per sock, where the industry runs in seconds.

  • 41.3% Australian Merino wool, 48-count double-ply
  • Double-cylinder knit — smooth inside and outside
  • Hand-linked toe — no seam ridge
  • 3-pack, low-profile crew (slips under a loafer)

Eight minutes per sock. You feel it the moment you pull one on.

Why a double-cylinder loom matters ↓

The Details
  • Material: 41.3% Merino Wool, blended with nylon/acrylic for structure
  • Yarn: 48-count double-ply
  • Construction: Double-cylinder loom, hand-linked toe
  • Height: Low crew (above ankle, below mid-calf)
  • Set: 3 pairs
  • Origin: Knit in China

Machine wash cold on gentle, tumble dry low or air dry. Don't bleach. Merino resists odor far longer than cotton, so you can wear longer between washes. Avoid high heat — it shortens the life of the wool.

The Narrative

You pull them on and the inside of the sock is as smooth as the outside — your foot can't find a rough patch to rub against. The merino breathes through a long walk, insulates through a cold morning, and doesn't pack down into that flattened felt most wool socks become after a month.

Standard socks are knit on a single-cylinder machine, with a seam sewn after. A double-cylinder loom knits both sides at the same time, leaving the inside as finished as the outside. The process takes longer, which is why most producers don't bother. The comfort difference is under your foot, not on the label.
