One big open space when you untie it. Phone swims around at the bottom. I dropped a pouch in there and solved it but a little pocket wouldve been nice.
Fair wish. The walls are pure crochet with no lining panel to stitch a pocket onto, so a drop-in pouch is honestly the right answer, and you found it fast.

Not the loose scratchy weave I feared, its tight and even. Stripe lines are dead straight which tells you the work is good. Even the base is worked tight, no gaps when you hold it up to the light

The base is wide so it sits upright at my feet instead of flopping over and spilling. Small thing, big deal.
