Raw wool and cashmere are living materials. They react to their environment, breathe with your body, and evolve over time. With the right ritual, your Wildfool piece will not just last—it will soften and improve, becoming a trusted companion for years to come.
The Ritual of Renewal
01. The Air Bath (Refresh) Wool is naturally self-cleaning and antimicrobial. You do not need to wash it often. simply hanging your scarf or sweater in fresh air (away from direct sunlight) for a few hours is usually enough to release odors and refresh the fibers.
02. The Gentle Wash (Clean) When a wash is finally needed, treat it like your own skin.
-
Cool Water: Submerge gently in cool water.
-
Neutral Soap: Use a dedicated pH-neutral wool detergent.
-
No Wringing: Never twist or wring the fabric. This damages the fiber's structure. Instead, gently press the water out against the side of the basin.
03. The Flat Dry (Rest) Wet wool is heavy and vulnerable. Never hang it to dry, as it will stretch and lose shape. Lay the garment flat on a clean, dry towel in a shaded area. Reshape it gently with your hands and let it rest until dry.
04. The Sacred Storage (Protect) When the season changes, store your Soft Armor in a breathable cotton bag. We recommend adding cedar balls or lavender sachets to naturally repel moths while imparting a calming scent of nature.
Treat it gently, and it will keep you warm for a lifetime.
